The Christmas Spirit. This phrase means many things to many people.
It means Santa Claus. Leaving cookies out for him on Christmas Eve, checking NORAD every five minutes to see how quickly he got through Portugal and who’s next, listening for sleigh bells on the roof, and the looks on little faces when they see the gifts that he left under the tree.
It means the anticipation leading up to the holiday; the music, the shopping, the decorations. All the traditions.
It means hoping to wake up Christmas morning and see glistening snow on every surface that the sun touches.
It means seeing family, exchanging gifts and stuffing yourselves with food and desserts.
For me, all of these things mean Christmas.
Anyone who reads this blog, knows that at the beginning of 2022, I started a spiritual journey. A necessary and long overdue spiritual journey.
I have learned many things about myself, the Universe, God and the truth. One significant thing that I have learned is that our spirits are one with The Source. The truth is all the things we don’t see. You don’t witness Him with your eyes, but with your mind and soul. This is not a reference to the occult, it’s a reference to a spiritual realm that is well documented.
Mystics and spiritual leaders each say something that sounds like: You are a reflection of the Universe. The Universe means, in this instance, your surroundings or your immediate environment.
If you stay close to The Source and keep him in your immediate environment, he will share his strength and power with you. His humility and love. These are things that He wants us to share with others. Keep Him and all others close. Ultimately, you are a reflection of the Universe.
For the nearly three years of my spiritual journey, I have felt an enormous shift. And for the many, many years before that, I don’t understand how I spent so many years thinking that I could do anything without Him. Many days, I don't feel worthy of Him, but He doesn't see it that way.
Christmas is the celebration of one soul who knew love, kindness, generosity, acceptance, understanding, and fear. He was human, after all.
On this upcoming Christmas day, please make sure that your environment, your Universe, is filled with love, kindness, generosity, acceptance, and understanding.
The Christmas Spirit is the way that we each celebrate during this season. The Christmas Spirit is each of our spirits.
Merry Christmas and much love to you and yours.
Amen and Namaste
